Guitar No. 1 - Finish
I used nitro-cellulose finish and ground couat of the brand Clou: "Schnellschliffgrund CLOU 300" and "Spraymat Nitrolack glänzend" in a sprying can. I didn't take much pictures during the finishing process.
To fill the pores I mixed the ground coat with talcum powder and applied it with a paint brush. After that I applied 3 ..4 coats of ground coat. Then the surface was smooth enough to beginn with the spraying. I needid 2 cans that I applied in several thin coats.
Then I sanded the hole guitar down with sandpaper (Grainsizes 400, 600, 1000 and 2000). After that I used polishing paste "Presto Polierpaste" and finally I used car polish to polish to a high gloss.

I applied the laquer from spray cans outside of my shop. I lost a lot of (expensive) lacquer due to the wind. I was astonished that dust on the surface of the finish wasn't a real problem as I worried before |
